Erin Longbottom KC

Erin was called to the private Bar in 2003 and took silk in 2019. 

Erin has broad public law and commercial law experience.  Since being called to the Bar, Erin has practised primarily in native title, administrative law, mining and resources law, commercial law, professional negligence and quasi-criminal proceedings.

Erin acts for a range of clients including government and government agencies (both State and Federal), private and commercial parties as well as representative bodies and individuals.

Erin also appears in Royal Commissions and Inquiries.  In 2022, Erin was appointed as Senior Counsel assisting in the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide which Royal Commission concludes in late 2024.  

Before coming to the Bar, Erin was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC, President of the Queensland Court of Appeal (2002), and the Honourable Justice Philip McMurdo, Supreme Court of Queensland (2003).
